Scholastic art awards
The nation’s longest-running, most prestigious recognition program for creative teens. Every year teens in Snohomish County can submit their artwork to the Scholastic Art Awards. The Schack Art Center hosts an exhibition of the awards winning work and an award ceremony. This is an incredible opportunity for young artists to be recognized for their creative achievements.
The 2023 Scholastic Art & Writing Awards opened September 1, 2022! Creative teens can submit artwork for the chance to receive up to $12,500 in scholarships.
*Seniors submitting a portfolio will automatically be considered for the Susan J. Russell Scholarship.
Fee Waivers are available for everyone, no questions asked!
Awarding winning entries will be exhibited at the Schack Art Center January 2023. Deadline to submit January 6, 2023, 9pm.
Susan J. RusselL College scholarship
Are you a high school senior attending school in Snohomish County who plans to attend community college, college, university, or art school in the fall of 2022? Submit your portfolio to the Scholastic Art Awards Snohomish County Region to be considered for the $4,000 Susan J. Russell College Scholarship.
Deadline to submit January 6, 2023, 9pm.
Black and White Photography Contest
This annual student exhibition of Black and White Photography is open to all Snohomish County 9-12 grade students. Free to submit.
Contest will open February 1, 2023. Enter your submission by March 11.
All entries will be exhibited in the Emerging Young Artists Gallery in April.
