THIS ART LIFE: INVENTING YOUR PATH
POSTPONED UNTIL APRIL 3
April 3 - June 8
Artist Reception: April 3 | 5-8pm
Main + Mezzanine Gallery
This exhibition will explore a sweeping survey of possible careers in the visual arts and provide a deep dive into a few of those creative career pathways through the eyes and art of real artists in Washington State. Everything around you—clothing, apps, spaces—has been shaped by a creative professional. From designers and illustrators to filmmakers and muralists, the arts shape how we see and experience the world.
Each year, our Arts Education in Action Exhibition bring thousands of Snohomish County K-12 students to the Schack to be immersed in the gallery experience. Students receive a docent-led tour through the exhibit, watch live glassblowing at our Hot Shop window, watch exhibit-specific demonstrations by local artists, and participate in an art activity related to the exhibit.
Artists include: Alex Nason, Amie Zimmerman, August Graube, Boeing History of Flight Museum, Cam Smith, Clayton Bratt, Daniel Moder, Emily Palmiter, Erika Flak, Georgetta Gancarz, James Ludden, James Madison, Jessica Sarr Lewis, Johanna Porter, John Skewes, Jose Castro, Jules Anslow, Krister Eide, Mariah Cavanagh, Michael T.
