In this exciting summer camp, students will explore the art of bookmaking and have the opportunity to create their very own 3D books! This hands-on experience blends various artistic techniques while introducing students to the process of constructing unique books and journals.

Each student will create personalized works of art, including journals and 3D books, using recycled materials and treasured objects. These handmade books will serve as beautiful, functional pieces of art—perfect for recording thoughts, memories, and creativity.

Join us for a week of creativity, self-expression, and hands-on fun as we explore the art of bookmaking!

Students will discover the different elements of art, such as line, shape, texture, and color, while learning how to transfer their images onto various surfaces. They will experiment with different printmaking techniques, such as block printing and monoprinting, to produce their own artwork.

By the end of the camp, students will have created a series of prints showcasing their creativity and new skills. Each student will leave with their own set of prints to proudly display or share with others.

They’ll discover how to transform everyday objects into wearable art that reflects their individual style and creativity. By the end of the camp, each student will have a collection of fun, personal projects, such as tie-dye t-shirts, handmade jewelry, and custom-designed masks. These pieces will be wearable works of art that showcase their creativity and artistic skills.
