ABSTRACT PAINTING - yes you can!
I hear so often from people that they didn’t get the creative bug. I couldn’t disagree more! There is a imaginative spirit in all of us, we just need to get out of our own way and go for it! I am a self-taught artist, always experimenting and learning through an ever evolving, creative process. If I can do it, so can you!
Join me for a casual, hands-on workshop where I’ll share how to switch gears to the right brain, get out of your way, and paint freely. In this first session, we’ll start with mark making and then test drive some oil and cold wax techniques. This workshop embraces diversity and will provide a safe and welcoming environment that is sure to help you release your inner creative!
Students will learn how to unleash their inner creative and paint freely without fear. We will go over materials and techniques, then move into mark making on a series of mini studies. Students will work on an assortment of mixed media paper as well as a small cradled wood panel. This class will focus on abstract painting process with an introduction to oil and cold wax medium.
