Exploring Borosilicate Glass Series

Location: Schack Art Center, Flame & Kiln Studio
This course is designed for beginners and intermediate glass enthusiasts who wish to explore the intricate art of borosilicate flameworking. Throughout the three-week duration, students will delve into the fundamental techniques, safety protocols, and artistic expressions of working with borosilicate glass.
Week one we will focus on safety, tools, and colors, and students will get the opportunity to make small solid pieces. Week two will focus on building with pieces and welding techniques. Week three will focus on hollow work, how to weld hollow glass, and finishing off projects from the previous weeks.
All supplies provided. Please wear cotton clothing without draped sleeves and closed-toed shoes.
