Aurora Borealis: Letting go and conquering the water in watercolor painting
Dates: Thursday, June 15, from 7:00-9:00pm;
Fee: $75 / discount with member code
Ages: 15+
Levels: All
Sessions: 1
Instructor: Katie Zeitler
Location: Schack Art Center, Painting & Drawing Studio
Watercolor painting is fun and relaxing, yet challenging. Often, it is difficult to know, at first, how much water to use while painting and how to let go of control while painting. In this class, we will practice getting comfortable with applying varying amounts of water, maneuvering the water, and applying specific techniques. We will also review watercolor basics with an emphasis on paper type.
Student will learn:
-how to use different amount of water and maneuver water to create a more fluid painting
-how to step outside a comfort zone and paint outside the lines to create a painting
-water color basics, specific focus on paper type
This class is great for anyone who wants to be more comfortable with letting go and “painting outside the lines” to create more fluidity and comfort in their watercolor painting.
*All supplies are included
